Bee colony structural removal is the the process of safely extracting the bees and comb from a building. Once bees move into a location, they quickly build comb and begin growing in population. Bees in Boxes LLC uses beekeeping techniques and specialized equipment like thermal cameras and bee vacuums to safely remove the bees, relocate them into a standard bee hive, and find them a new home.
A bee colony in your yard, outbuilding, or home can be disruptive, especially when there is human activity in the vicinity of the hive location. In addition, an established colony will be full of larva, pollen, and honey that will attract pests such as cockroaches, mice, and beetles. Even if a colony dies out, these resources will attract pests and bee swarms looking for a new hive location.
We provide estimates based on geographic location, the location of the bees on your property, and the size of the colony. Depending on these factors, the cost of extracting a colony can vary. We will be happy to speak with you about your bees and provide you with an estimate. We charge $50 to inspect your property and provide an estimate. Should you choose to have us proceed with the removal, that $50 is applied to the total removal cost.
Here are some of the things we'd like to know when you contact us:
1. Can you take a picture of the bees or hive location and send it to us?
2. Where are the bees located on your property?
3. What is the building material in the area where the bees are located?
4. How long have the bees been in that location?
